This bicentennial is not just a nod to the past but a toast to the future, as The Glenlivet continues to lead the way in whisky craftsmanship and innovation. To mark this auspicious occasion, 2024 will be a year-long celebration, kicked off with the launch of The Glenlivet 200-Year Anniversary Limited Edition 12-Year-Old.
This new expression is a masterpiece of the distillery’s expertise, matured exclusively in first fill American Oak casks. It boasts a palate of ripe, juicy pear, coconut shavings, and creamy vanilla, harmoniously blended with the scents of fresh tangerines, pineapple slices, and indulgent crème caramel. This limited edition is not just a whisky; it’s a sensory journey through two centuries of excellence.
In a unique twist, the artwork for this commemorative bottle was sourced through a global crowdsourcing campaign. This initiative invited emerging artists to interpret The Glenlivet’s ethos of continuous progression. The winning design, crafted by Studio Berdi from Colombia, beautifully illustrates The Glenlivet’s evolution from its bold beginnings under founder George Smith to its current status as a trailblazer in the whisky world.
