Set back from the Paseo Maritimo of San Pedro Alcántara, one finds Maya Garden Marbella, a new beachside restaurant and lounge, with al fresco garden seating, a beach bar, terrace dining and an inside restaurant. Open for lunch, drinks, and dinner ‘till late, this is a captivating destination for relaxed vibes, in a sub-tropical setting.
We visited Maya Garden for a leisurely lunch and were pleasantly impressed. The shaded terrace, with sofas dappled with diffused sunlight, was the perfect place to relax with handcrafted sushi rolls and cocktails of white sangria and a classic Negroni.
The decor of Maya Garden is a harmonious fusion of summery vibes and eclectic charm, blending touches of the Mediterranean, Asia, and the Americas. The open terrace, enveloped by a lush oasis of subtropical gardens is the place for sundowners and late-night drinks accompanied by DJ tunes.
During the day, we escaped the Andalucian sun and chose the covered terrace with views out to the gardens promenade and the sea. There are also tables inside the restaurant, ideal for later in the season.
We indulged in the symphony of flavours at Maya Garden with starters of Maya Style Octopus and classic prawn pil-pil. Later we chose the Miso Salmon Fillet with Asparagus and the classic beef burger. They also offer a tempura prawn burger, Duck Teriyaki, chicken, and pasta dishes as well as a wide selection of sashimi, Nikkei rolls, nigiri and gyozas, and poke bowls.
It’s a delightful setting and the atmosphere is relaxed – an ideal beach spot to enjoy the Mediterranean lifestyle.
