Ikos Resorts has announced that the five-star Ikos Andalusia will now open in April 2021, as the fifth addition to its collection of award-winning* luxury all-inclusive resorts and the brand’s first property in Spain.
The elegant beachfront resort is located on Playa de Guadalmansa, 55-minutes from Malaga airport, 20-minutes from the cosmopolitan centre of Marbella and 15 minutes from the historic town of Estepona.
It will bring the group’s award-winning, all-inclusive concept and an elevated level of luxury to Spain’s sun-drenched Costa Del Sol. Guests will be spoiled with signature à la carte menus curated by Michelin starred chefs, beauty products from Anne Sémonin Paris, a choice of 300 wine labels, beach waiter service, complimentary kids’ clubs, 24-hour room service and more.
In the name of Local Discovery, as part of the all-inclusive stay guests will be encouraged to explore the surrounding area with a Dine Out experience at carefully selected local restaurants across Marbella and Estepona, a MINI car for one full day to explore the area, tickets to the best museums in Malaga, and free green fee passes for golf players to enjoy a round at the exclusive Los Naranjos Golf Club.
The stylish resort is set amongst olive trees and has both modern features and local touches, such as traditional Moorish windcatchers perched atop its seven buildings. Individually commissioned pieces of art and colourful hand-painted tiles will be on display throughout the restaurants and guest rooms. A Cherry Blossom tree at Anaya restaurant, encircled by seating for guests to enjoy Asian dishes in an al-fresco setting, will be a particularly stand-out feature.
Stretching across 21 acres and offering spectacular views of the Mediterranean Sea, the hotel has 411 elegantly appointed rooms, including one- and two-bedroom suites for couples and families, with a choice of private balconies, gardens, individual pools and panoramic sea views.
For the ultimate experience, guests can book into the Deluxe Collection suites. Located in an exclusive area of the hotel the suites offer tailored pre-arrival planning options via a personal concierge and a range of benefits. Guests can expect a bottle of Taittinger Champagne on arrival, a packing and unpacking service upon request, a special beachfront dinner, two neck and back massages per room per stay, an exclusive access to the pool and beach reserved for Deluxe Collection guests and much more.
In addition to the Dine Out restaurants, Ikos Andalusia will have seven restaurants in resort including one Mediterranean buffet and six à la carte restaurants with menus curated by Michelin starred chefs. Cuisine will range from modern Greek, classic and contemporary Italian, Asian/Oriental, Provencal and authentic Spanish. All meals will be complemented with an extensive choice of 300 local and international wines selected by the Ikos Sommelier.
Six bars will be located around the resort’s lush gardens and pools serving cocktails prepared by award-winning Ikos mixologists, using branded international and local spirits.
The resort will boast eight outdoor and indoor pools, including kids’ pools, spa pools and adults-only pools, plus a number of private pools. Each of the outdoor pools will feature a cascading design overlooking the beach and Mediterranean Sea.
A 420m golden sand beach with luxurious sun loungers is reserved exclusively for hotel guests. A beach waiter service serving food and beverage, 30 minutes free beach childcare for kids over the age of 4 and a designated adults-only area will be on offer.
The Ikos Spa by Anne Sémonin Paris spa will house nine private treatment rooms including a couple’s suite, a heated pool with Jacuzzi, a thermal suite with steam room and sauna, a hairdressing salon, and a beauty corner with nail salon and Anne Sémonin products. Here guests will also find a fitness studio with state-of-the-art equipment and contemporary cardio-fitness facilities.
For those looking for a more active stay, guests can make use of the extensive facilities and classes including floodlit tennis courts, aerobics classes, basketball, beach volleyball, canoeing, pedalos, paddle boarding, mountain biking, Pilates, yoga, Tabata, TRX, Zumba, table tennis and much more. An array of motorised water-sports are also provided at extra cost.

Kids aged 4 – 12 are looked after at the Hero’s Kids Club, whilst teenagers aged 13 – 17 can have fun at the Just 4Teens Club, both offering a range of activities including arts and crafts, sports, cooking, and water sports.
