Ikos Andalusia – Opening May 2020
Ikos arrives on Spain’s legendary Costa del Sol. Opening in May 2020 on Playa de Guadalmansa, west of Marbella, Ikos Andalusia is set to be a stunning, luxury all-inclusive resort, and the first Ikos property outside of Greece. Nobu Hotel London Portman Square, London – Opening TBC 2020

Kalesma Ornos Bay, Mykonos – Opening June 2020
Set to elevate the desirable island of Mykonos to new heights, Kalesma is a brand new 25 suite and two villa luxury hotel, opening June 2020. ‘Kalesma’, meaning ‘inviting’ in Greek, is perfectly suited to the ethos of this boutique, privately-owned property. MarBella Elix, Parga region of mainland Greece – Opening June 2020

Palazzo Gaddi, Florence – Opening Spring 2020
A new property for the Dedica brand within a beautifully restored 16th century palace, celebrating the city of Florence and its historic architecture. Masterminded by internationally-renowned interior architects Patrizia Quartero and Guy Oliver, and working with specialist restorers and local artisans, the renovation of Palazzo Gaddi will focus on creating a contemporary hotel with a strong sense of place derived from its antique Florentine architecture. The hotel is situated in the heart of the city, close to the Duomo, railway station, Medici Chapels, San Lorenzo Market and 10 minutes’ walk from the Ponte Vecchio and the Uffizi Gallery. The property will open with 86 rooms and suites, a vibrant lobby bar, meeting spaces and the hotel’s famous roof terrace overlooking the Duomo and Campanile.

Hotel Plaza, Nice – Opening Summer 2020
One of the city’s most notable landmark buildings has been fully transformed and opens with 153 rooms and suites, all finished to the highest standard of luxury. After an 18-month full transformation, Hotel Plaza’s famous panoramic rooftop terrace is being completely redesigned by David Collins Studio London to become a year-round destination for all-day relaxed bistro chic dining. A new spa and fitness centre are also under development. The hotel is in close proximity to the Old Town where guests will find many restaurants and bars, museums and galleries and the famous Promenade des Anglais. When it reopens in 2020 with its spacious rooms and public areas, Hotel Plaza will reclaim its historic position as an emblem of luxury hospitality and the sociable hub of the Côte d’Azur.

AJWA Cappadocia, Turkey – Opening Spring 2020
This Spring, luxury hotel brand AJWA will open its second hotel, AJWA Cappadocia, in the province of Nevşehir, Turkey. Set across three buildings, the hotel will feature 98 decorative guest rooms and cave suites, an experiential concept restaurant, luxurious spa, kids club, a small farm and a beautifully landscaped garden. With an exceptional location and direct access to the Beydere Valley, the resort will celebrate Cappadocia’s natural and cultural heritage. The resort has been designed to recreate the historical Keravansaray experience, with luxurious, handcrafted mother of pearl furniture and striking décor, including traditional Turkish rugs, guests will lavish in the hotel’s authentic design.

Vienna, HOHO – Late 2020
Located a short distance from the heart of Vienna, guests can find themselves at the all new HOHO hotel. Set to be the world’s tallest timber building, situated in the peaceful neighbourhood of Seestadt. HOHO is anticipated to open in 2020, and takes inspiration from the elements of the earth which is incorporated into it’s slick and simplistic design. The Wayfarer, LA – January 2020
The Wayfarer DTLA is a community-focused hotel coming to Downtown L.A.’s South Park in the former Ritz Milner building. The property will feature 156 rooms, a rooftop bar, the underground speakeasy Lilly Rose, kitchen open for guests to use and a stairwell gym. Rockefeller Kempel Architects, who spearheaded the beautiful renovation of Hotel Figueroa, is leading this project as the second hotel under the Wayfarer name with the first located in Santa Barbara.
Downtown L.A. Proper Hotel – Spring 2020
Proper Hospitality, the new brand headed by former Viceroy Hotels Chief Brad Korzen, is slated to debut their first Los Angeles hotel in Downtown L.A.’s Fashion District located at the site of the former Case Hotel. The 13-story property, which was originally built in 1924, will have 148 stunning rooms designed by Kelly Wearstler. Caroline Styne and Suzanne Goin, the legendary James Beard Award-winning L.A. Chef and Restaurateur known for a.o.c., Lucques, Tavern and The Larder, will oversee the hotel’s first-floor restaurant Calo Verde as well as the stunning rooftop lounge.

Riggs Washington DC
Due to open in Feb and coming from the group behind Sea Containers London and Pulitzer Amsterdam. Riggs Washington DC sits within a historic building that was once home to Riggs National Bank (known as the “Bank of Presidents”) within the capital’s thriving Penn Quarter neighbourhood. Designed by Lore Group’s Creative Director Jacu Strauss, the 181-room property features playful nods to the building’s rich past while preserving and restoring much of the original design features. Riggs is also home to 15 suites including the two-bedroom Riggs Suite within the original bank boardroom (ideal for hotel guests or meetings and events) and four specialty ‘First Lady’ suites inspired by the eccentricities of a select few Presidents’ unsung better halves.
The Godfrey Hotel, LA – Spring 2020
The 150,000-square-foot Godfrey Hotel Hollywood will be a high-end boutique property fit for the contemporary jet-setting professional. The project features smart, tech-forward amenities that will allow travelers to conduct business both locally and remotely, while enjoying the unique room and food experiences that the Godfrey brand is known for in Chicago, Boston, and Tampa. The Hollywood location marks the brand’s first West Coast location. The property is slated to open with 220 rooms, i|Q Godfrey rooftop and pool lounge—the largest rooftop space in Hollywood—and a contemporary spin on the classic steakhouse called About Last Knife.
ALOFT Hotel, Puerto Rico – Opening Spring 2020
Tipped to be one of Puerto Rico’s most exciting new accommodation offerings – ALOFT Hotel at the Convention Centre at District San Juan is in the Caribbean’s most vibrant new entertainment centre. Amari Colombo, Sri Lanka – Opening June 2020
Set to open in June 2020 in the heart of Sri Lanka’s boho capital, Amari Colombo is the perfect fit for both business and leisure travellers. Banyan Tree Krabi – TBC
Singapore-based Banyan Tree Holdings Ltd, one of Asia’s foremost luxury hotel groups, has announced plans to open a new resort in Krabi in the second quarter of 2020. Currently under development in a serene location on Tubkaek Beach, a scenic 45-minute drive from Krabi Airport, Banyan Tree Krabi fronts powdery white sands and the shallow-shelved coast of the Andaman Sea. The new Thai resort will offer 72 pool suites and villas, among them seven 2-bedroom options and one three-bedroom villa. Facilities include all-day dining, a ballroom, a wedding chapel, a beach club, a kids’ club, and a fitness centere. In keeping with Banyan Tree’s holistic branding, the resort will also host a rainforest-themed spa.

Tanah Gajah, a resort by Hadiprana – January 2020
The Chedi Club Tanah Gajah in Ubud will return to its roots as it becomes Tanah Gajah, a resort by Hadiprana and the flagship property of a new hospitality group Hadiprana Hospitality. The property was first built in the 1980s as a holiday home for legendary Indonesian architect and designer, Hendra Hadiprana, and his family. Intimate, yet spacious, the five-hectare property features twenty art-filled accommodation options, ranging from one bedroom suites with open air bathrooms and lotus pond views, to a one-of-a-kind two bedroom estate with a private pool. The Restaurant is set to reopen as The Tempayan and a new tapas lounge, Panen Padi, will open in a prime location with a view of tranquil swan ponds on one side and lush fields unfolding on the other. Plans are also in motion for expanding on the array of authentic experiences on offer to guests.
Azerai Ke Ga Bay – April 2020
The luxurious and secluded oceanfront retreat Azerai Ke Ga Bay is set to open on Apr. 1, 2020 as the third property in Vietnam in Azerai Resorts’ growing portfolio. The 55-room resort is located 180km east of Saigon on a sweeping, five-kilometer white sand beach on the South China Sea. Framed to the north by Hon Ba Island, with its historic 1899-built colonial French lighthouse, and to the south by soaring sand dunes, the property cultivates one of the most naturally splendid oceanfront settings in the country. The guest rooms, suites and villas evoke a contemporary aesthetic defined by elegant and simple design, with many units boasting either plunge pools or more spacious private pools. Azerai Ke Ga Bay marks the brand’s first beach resort.
Ancient Hue – TBC
Ancient Hue, a luxury boutique complex of authentic nha ruong (garden homes) is about to be unveiled in Hue, Vietnam’s former royal capital. The five ancient royal houses at the resort were originally used as dwellings for members of the extended imperial families: relatives of the emperors who used to preside over the nation. Beautifully restored, the garden homes feature an exquisite fusion of traditional charm and contemporary luxury. Ancient Hue is owned and was conceived by Trails of Indochina, one of Southeast Asia’s leading boutique tour operators.
The Legian Sire, Lombok – Opening Spring 2020
Newly formed luxury hospitality and lifestyle brand LHM (Legian Hotel Management) is to the open The Legian Sire, Lombok in Spring 2020. Located on one of Lombok’s finest beaches, the 3.8 kilometre Sire Beach, the all-suite and villa resort will have staggering views towards the Gili islands and Lombok’s Mount Rinjani. It will be made up of The Legian Sire, Lombok, The Club at The Legian Sire, Lombok and The Legian Residences, Sire Lombok (which will launch as a second phase of the project and consist of 15 hotel-managed residences for sale). The Legian Sire, Lombok will be boutique in size with 45 suites and 15 pool villas. All of these will overlook Lombok’s crystal-clear sea and be notably spacious (all measuring over 110 square metres) and will offer guests highly personalised levels of service and a strong sense of exclusivity.
Can Ferrereta, Santanyi, Mallorca – Opening Summer 2020

Located in the quaint rural town of Santanyí in the south east of Mallorca, Can Ferrereta will be one of Europe’s most exciting new hotel openings in 2020. The historic 17th century building has been meticulously restored, comprising 32 individually designed rooms and suites, surrounded by verdant gardens. Many of the bedrooms will feature private patios and terraces, while the hotel’s signature suite will offer a private swimming pool and garden. Can Ferrereta will also be home to a Mediterranean restaurant complete with a Mallorcan patio, serving delicious seasonal dishes made with local produce, as well as two bars, an 25m swimming pool, gym and a beautifully designed spa with hammam and indoor pool.
