Neill Strain has been creating distinctive floral designs across London and further afield since 2008, gaining awards and international acclaim. His Floral Couture boutique in Belgravia became renowned for its spectacular seasonal outdoor displays and was followed by a Harrods flower concession in 2017. This offers unusual and stunning blooms sourced directly from select growers in Holland, many of which are exclusive to Harrods.
On 4th September 2021, a new concession was introduced to the Knightsbridge store, bringing a range of new options for clients. This included a personalised occasion service catering to all sizes of events; the Floral Couture Concierge. A sensory experience, a visit to the opulent concession offers viewings of rare flowers and plants. The imposing display stands and striking countertops have been created in collaboration with the Harrods design team, envisioning a space that encapsulates the brand message.

The Floral Couture Concierge
The concierge service is available as an in-store or virtual consultation, offering a unique and intimate opportunity for Neill’s expert team to exceed clients’ floristry needs and create bespoke presentations to reflect a personal style. Whether for a wedding, a large scale event, a small dinner party or an anniversary gift, the team approaches all projects with the same level of skill and care.
Launching the 2021 Autumn Collection
The latest collection is being showcased at the boutique. This was inspired by Neill’s visit to Vermont & Massachusetts, where he fell in love with the scenery. Fall foliage and the region’s vibrant colours are echoed in seasonal blooms such as rose hips, oak leaves and Physalis Franchetti with its deep orange berries encased in red lanterns.
Beyond blooms
But the brand goes beyond simply working with flowers in its endeavours to delight and surpass clients’ expectations. Strain has been collaborating with two world-famous fragrance houses in Grasse, South of France. The result is his own candle collection, inspired by the fragrances of the flowers in his boutique, crafted with quality six perfume grade fragrance oils. Hand blended and poured in the UK from a natural, organic wax blend, the candles produce a clean, 45-hour burn. Hand-painted, individually mouth-blown glass vases from Holland have also been added to the collection; each piece is unique in shape, colour and size. And finally, handmade customisable ceramic containers by Dutch clay masters Ecri Living, are also available from the boutique.
A new look for Neill Strain Floral Couture
The opening of the Harrods boutique coincides with the brand’s move to a palette of soft creams and blacks which pay homage to the architecture of Neill’s Belgravia Boutique.
He says, “With the onset of the pandemic, I had time to think about the business and how we could continue to better ourselves and elevate the services we offer. I wanted Neill Strain Floral Couture to re-emerge as a stronger brand, so began working on a new look. I worked closely with designers to reinvent our logo, which is centred around the beautiful facade of the Belgravia store, immortalising the iconic building. With the rebrand and the launch of our new Harrods Boutique, we are able to officially introduce our Floral Couture Concierge – a world first, personalised floral service for our clients.”
Personal shopping, private service suite training and in-store events such as floral and home fragrance masterclasses are also offered at the new NSFC Harrods Boutique.
