Best Luxury Hotels In The Hague
Home to the nation’s palace and parliament, the city is also internationally known as the HQ for the UN’s International Court of Justice. As such, it attracts many political and business travellers, as well as tourists – over a million of the latter visiting annually. Seen as a high-quality city break, The Hague’s museums, galleries, history and excellent restaurants attract those seeking a short getaway removed from the often more raucous mainstream city break destinations. It’s very unlikely you’ll bump into a stag or hen do here, instead, you’ll probably share a hotel with diplomats and heads of state.

Hotel Indigo The Hague – Palace Noordeinde
Formerly the Dutch National Bank, this is now a 63 bedroom boutique hotel. There are many nods to the building’s past life, including the original lifts, minibars housed in small safes, a brasserie named Stocks and Bonds and the Gold Bar in what was once the bank’s vault; Indigo’s speakeasy bar is distinctly 1920s, accessed via the old vault doors. The design is contemporary yet retro, with a mid-century colour palette and lots of chestnut brown wood panelling, brass and marble in the mix. The 19th-century property is located right opposite the Royal Palace Noordeinde.
