Announcing Zacapa 23 La Armonia – The Harmony Cask

Guatemalan rum brand Ron Zacapa has launched its latest release. La Armonia (aka The Harmony Cask) is the third of four premium limited-edition releases which combine to form the Zapaca 23 Heavenly cask collection.

Zacapa – known to be among the most exquisite tasting rums in the world – has won many awards and is recognised by the World Luxury Association as one of the ‘Top 100 Most Valuable Luxury Brands’. It’s made with virgin sugar cane honey using the dynamic ‘Sistema Solera’ ageing process. Found in the Guatemalan countryside 2,300m above sea level, among verdant mountaintops and active volcanoes, the Zacapa distillery occupies one of the highest ageing facilities anywhere on the planet.

It’s for this reason it is described as ‘The House Above The Clouds’. Zacapa 23

The La Armonia bottling has been further finished in ex-Oloroso Sherry casks, giving the liquid a sumptuous and silky finish. It follows the release of the first limited edition, Zacapa 23 La Doma – The Taming Cask and the second, El Alma – The Soul Cask. Lorena Vásquez, Master Blender for Zacapa for over 36 years and expert in the art of multi-cask ageing, says: “We are staunchly proud of the uniqueness and complexity Zacapa 23 offers and The Heavenly Collection allows us to further emphasize this, by additionally ageing the liquid and pushing the boundaries with fascinating flavour combinations.
